Mr. Joseph Patterson Okhako is the founding Executive Director/CEO and Chairman – Ethics Institute of East Africa – EthicEA. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) – Strategic Management and currently finalizing Doctoral Degree (PhD) in Strategic Business Management of Kenya Methodist University. Okhako was also previously the Chairman of East Africa Network on Ethics and Governance (ENEG), a network that brought together East African academic institutions of higher learning, Ethics and Integrity management institutions, human and Civil Rights groups around ethics, governance and human rights. ENEG seeks to hold governments in East Africa on accountability and transparency through good leadership.

He is a member of Ethics Institute of South Africa, a Certified Ethics Officer and a certified ethics and integrity Trainer from Ethics Institute of South Africa.

He is an Integrity Testing Program Consultant, a moralist and a Corruption and Fraud management expert in East Africa.

Mr. Okhako is also a practicing Human Resource Management consultant and a member of Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).

Mr. Okhako has shaped the ethical working environment of many public sector organizations in Kenya. He has been involved in managing ethics and integrity institutionalization, monitoring the implementation of codes of conduct and ethics, enforcement of anticorruption policies at all levels, management of corruption investigations, communication and corruption prevention evaluations; a career spanning over twenty (20) years.

He has initiated various corruption prevention policies in various public institutions across East African region, including Codes of Conduct and Ethics; Anticorruption Policies, Whistle-blowers’ Policies, Gift Policies and Conflict of Interest Policies. Okhako has also lectured and presided over various seminars and conferences related to ethics, integrity and leadership across East Africa for many years
