Johnson has over 20 years’ experience working in senior management positions in Higher Education and social services sector. He is a Leadership, Strategy and Change Management Specialist currently serving as the Dean of Students and Director of Career Services at the University of Nairobi. He also served as Director of University Advancement and Executive Director/CEO of University of Nairobi Alumni Association. Prior to joining UoN, he served as Ethics and Governance Manager and Business Development Manager at KCA University, Executive Director of the National Volunteer Network (NAVNET) of Kenya and Management Advisor of Tovwirane HIV/AIDS Organization in Malawi through the Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) Jitolee of United Kingdom.
He holds MBA, B.Com, Higher Diploma in HRM and is a Certified Ethics Officer with Ethics Institute of South Africa (EthicSA). He is currently finalizing MPA and PhD at University of Nairobi (UoN) and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) respectively. He is popularly known as the ‘Dean of Africa’ because of the influence and impact he has had on students’ lives.
He values honesty, integrity, transparency, accountability, quality and excellence. He is passionate about touching lives and changing destinies. He has authored a book “Rising Above the Shadows of Limitations: A Memoir”
